My name is Kimber Rudo. I’m the artistic director of the Academy of Danse Libre, a vintage dance ensemble located in the San Francisco Bay Area that specializes in the recreation of historic social ballroom dances. I have been studying and performing vintage dances for over twenty (!) years, and directing this ensemble for nine. It’s that much fun.

Danse Libre regularly performs at venues throughout the state of California; we are equally at home in opera houses as we are in libraries. Our repertoire ranges from the early nineteenth century dances of the English Regency, to the American youth dances of the twentieth century jazz age.
